New Event Space in Ft. Lauderdale – GPG Studios
If you have a vision for your special event, chances are extremely high that GPG Studios will transform it into reality. This past weekend we had the pleasure of attending and documenting the launch of GPG Studios’ new event space in Fort Lauderdale. A collaboration of the best-of-the-best in both the décor and event production industries, GPG Studios offers a production team consisting of company Designs by Sean and partner company Garrett Production Group.
An empty warehouse turned magical, this event space can transition from 2,500 sq ft to 9,500 sq ft, and can accommodate as many as 500 people. Some may just want to use the space for a photo shoot or luncheon, others may want to go beyond the ordinary and create a world of their own in the column free open space.
For the opening launch, GPG Studios told their guests only to “come see a new venture”. How refreshing for those attending: having a date with the element of surprise itself. After speaking with Sean of Designs by Sean and partner of GPG Studios, we wanted to know the main thing he had to say about the night, “The art of the magic in the event industry is this. If I know I am going to a party at the Ritz, or a club, my mind is already programmed with what I am doing for the night, where I will be, and what to expect. There is no shock value. Whereas if you are told to be at an address and arrive to find it is a warehouse, half of the magic is the second you walk through that door, you are taken from one level in your mind to another and your expectations are exceeded. It is life’s theatrical magic. Think of this space as a blank canvas for any artist to paint.”
We couldn’t agree more with what Sean had to say. When we pulled up to the warehouse, we had no idea what to expect. Needless to say, we were blown away! We felt like we were walking through a magical land; it was out of this world. The presentation of everything was perfect.
The food was delicately displayed at each table, and everything was absolutely delicious! The caterers, Douglas K Katering, Susie’s Scrumptious Sweets, Pop D’Lites, Catering Concepts, A Joy Wallace Catering, Thierry’s Catering, and Paella Party, all did an amazing job. In addition to the food, the entertainment was unreal. Imagine someone dressed in a wardrobe consisting of hundreds of mirrors, that when the lights reflected, resembled a glowing dancing star. After the exotic dancers and team of performers finished their show, the entire place transformed into a nightclub, and everyone danced the night away.
You threw one hell of an event, and we can’t wait to shoot the next one! Congrats on the launch, GPG Studios.

I had the pleasure of attending this incredible Party (Event), WOW !…I was blown away right from the start. From driving up to valet, through an alley of trees leading to an entrance fit for Celebrity status. I walk in the door, greeted by beauties,a light fog and wonderful music…after verification of Private Invite, I walk directly towards two 12′ high ” Plexiglass towers ” with long pour spots, were upon request, the best Punch (yes spiked), in the world came flowing directly towards my Glass. Those Towers were visited often, I must confess. From there your eyes were drawn in all directions, teasing your mind to choose the next ambiance or stopping to try the treats and meats abound. ” I did Both “….With punch in one hand and a plate in the other i proceeded to the Waterfall Room…occasionally acknowledging individuals, but to captivated by the surroundings to stop and talk. The 18″ Waterfall covering a major wall with awesome lighting and silk and cotton see through curtains creating three other walls, gave you a sense that you were in an Arabian Aquarium and you were the Pet. Stepping down and out, I was drawn to the Cool Blue Ice Room…Ascending the stairs, the blue cool light engulfed me and I was comforted with the white cushions and seating in the area, very cool and very comfortable. As the Party started rockin, the entertainment was Spectacular…The Glass Mirrored Suit, was strait out of a Futuristic Club Scene, it was entertaining, unique and hypnotic. Way before this you knew something special was in this space, well, this Show confirmed it and it was also the teaser for the various Dance Troupe Shows that brought the place alive….When the dancers started going out to the Crowd to bring people to the Dance Floor you could feel the energy and fun in the air…Everyone got to participate ! The real beauty in this Space, is the ” Creative Factor “, YOU, literally can have a VISION for an Event, Party, Wedding, Birthday, Anniversary, etc. come to Life Right Before Your Eyes…The ” on premise flexibility ” offers you the opportunity to mix, match, change, exceed and re-create Your Own Dream Event or to look through the Photos and Videos of other Themes and/or Environmental surroundings offered to you. For all the planning and great people at this wonderful event, I can only say, ” Thank You ” for allowing me to share in the Magnificent Evening…. Larry, Gallery721.com
